We are committed to protecting your privacy and especially the privacy of your children.
This is a legally binding contract between you and Tinybop Schools. Please make sure you read it, because it is important. We’ve tried to make it as clear as possible, but we welcome your feedback to schools.support@tinybop.com if you have suggestions or questions.
Welcome to Tinybop, a studio of educators, designers, developers and artists building playful experiences that inspire creativity, curiosity and a love of learning. Tinybop, Inc. (“Tinybop”, “we”, “us” and “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and especially the privacy of children.
This is a legally binding contract between you and Tinybop Schools. Please make sure you read it, because it is important. We’ve tried to make it as clear as possible, but we welcome your feedback to schools.support@tinybop.com if you have suggestions or questions.
ACCEPTING THESE TERMS
Please read these terms before using the site. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not register for the site. If we make material changes to these terms, we’ll let you know either through the site or via email (at the email address you provide). If you do not agree to those changes, you may send a request to cancel your account to schools.support@tinybop.com. If we do not hear from you within ten days, the revised terms will apply to you.
DEFINITIONS
We’re going to use some shorthand to make this easier to read. When we say “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean Tinybop Schools, Inc. When we say “site,” we mean tinybopschools.com and the services offered through that site. When we say “applications,” we mean the web, mobile, and tablet applications we develop and the services offered through those applications.
When we say “personal information,” we mean information that allows someone to identify or contact you, including, for example, your name, address, telephone number, or email address, as well as any other non-public information about you that is associated with or linked to any of that information.
When we say “anonymous information,” we mean information that is not associated with your personal information and does not, by itself, permit the identification of you. Data Controller means the natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal information are, or are to be, processed. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we are a Data Controller of your Personal Data. Data Processor (or Service Provider) means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller.
We may use the services of various Service Providers in order to process and understand your data more effectively.
IMPORTANT THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
The site is for administrators, teachers, and students.
In the site, we can collect robust analytics. We can ask for an email addresses of teachers and administrators. We can collect IP addresses and map those to locations.
The main content of the apps is for teachers and students.
In the apps, we only collect behavior within the app and no personal data (no IP addresses, no voice recordings, no email addresses, etc). We might display or capture recordings or photographs on device but they do not hit our servers and the recorded content is never used to create a data portraits of users.
WE ONLY COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT STUDENTS FOR YOUR USE
We share your concern for the privacy of students and only collect personal information about students on the Site to create reports for your classroom use. We ask for the names of students but you may provide a real name or an alias. We will store students’ information, but will not share it with any third parties, except as necessary to provide the services offered, to monitor usage, and to improve the Site. For example, we may store students’ personal information to report to teachers and administrators if a student opened a model, how much time they spent in a model, or which interactions they completed in a model. This information is for the use of teachers and administrators only.
We do use third party analytics services that collect anonymous information about Site usage. You will find more details about that below.
WE ONLY COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION THAT YOU GIVE US
When you register with the site, you may be asked to provide certain personal information, including your name, and/or a username, and/or email address. We will store your personal information, but will not share it with any third parties, except as necessary to provide the services offered, to monitor usage, and to improve the site. For example, we may store your personal information along with your files and data on a third party server such as Amazon Web Services; or we may use a third party analytics tool like Amplitude to learn how you are using Tinybop Schools, and how we can improve that experience. We also use your personal information to send you notifications about the services and to respond to your customer support requests. We will never share your personal information with advertisers or send you promotions for unrelated services.
On our site [and in our applications], you may use real names or aliases, as you think appropriate, to create accounts or profiles for both children and adults.
We may ask for your email address so that we can send you newsletters about our products and services. You may click unsubscribe in any newsletter to stop receiving them.
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use your personal information to:
- operate, maintain, and improve our sites, products, and services.
- respond to comments and questions and provide you customer service.

WE COLLECT ANONYMOUS INFORMATION ON OUR SITE & IN EMAILS

We may use third party analytics services, as described above, to collect anonymous information in our applications to help us build better apps. This information may include type of device, duration of play, location by country, and engagement with app features.
YOU MAY OPT OUT OF MARKETING EMAILS & SOME COOKIES
Every email we send you includes a link to unsubscribe. If you click through and unsubscribe, we may still send you non-marketing emails. Non-marketing emails include emails about your accounts and our business dealings with you.
You can typically remove and reject cookies from our site from your browser settings. Many browsers are set to accept cookies until you change your settings. If you remove or reject our cookies, it could affect how our site works for you.
